How My Weight Management Works with Growfit

I lost around 65 kilos using the previous Growfit model. At that time, the system was built so that all daily meals were provided according to a pre-selected total calorie level (2000 kcal in my case). It worked very well and gave me excellent results, but over time I found myself wishing for more flexibility to choose meals according to my own preferences.

When we started designing a new, more flexible Growfit model, I noticed I had a small concern:
Would I still know how to eat well if the structure became looser?

Now, a few months later, I can honestly say this:
it has been surprisingly easy.

My everyday rhythm now

These days, I usually choose two main meals from Growfit’s selection and prepare my own breakfast and evening snack. This rhythm works really well for me — it’s simple, flexible, and keeps hunger under control, without my everyday life revolving around food.

My breakfasts are straightforward and protein-focused. One of my favourites is a spinach omelette made with three eggs and baby spinach. I’ve also always loved porridge, and I still eat it regularly — I just add protein now, either by mixing in an egg or unflavoured protein powder, and topping it with berries or cottage cheese. Sometimes breakfast is as simple as a slice of rye bread with light cheese or cold cuts, plus a boiled egg. Normal, everyday food that works.

An evening snack that keeps me full until morning

My go-to evening snack is a mix of fat-free quark, a banana, vanilla-flavoured protein powder, and a few cacao nibs. Occasionally I add a small drizzle of honey. It’s genuinely delicious — and most importantly, it keeps me full all the way through the night.

When I want more variety

Not every week looks the same. Sometimes I order Meal Prep products instead of ready meals and put my plates together myself. That might mean cod loin, chicken breast or king prawns, paired with sweet potato or rice and plenty of vegetables such as broccoli or Brussels sprouts.

This gives my everyday eating enough variety and a sense of choice — without food taking over my time or mental space.

Weight management without stress

On the ready-meal side, Growfit currently offers 25 meals under 470 calories, which makes it easy to adjust overall calorie intake to suit my own goals — without constant tracking or calculation.

I feel good.
I’m not hungry.
And my weight stays under control.

What I’ve learned

The new model also pushed me out of a comfort zone I had grown used to with the previous structure. At first that felt slightly uncertain, but it also helped me realise something important:
I manage just fine like this as well.

I no longer need a very rigid structure in order to eat sensibly and maintain my weight.

The most important insight has been this:
weight management doesn’t fail because you eat badly once in a while — it fails when you try to be perfect.

The new model isn’t a quick fix, but it’s more sustainable and more humane.
And at least for me, it fits much better into normal life.
